Education
While living in Ghana, Wendy went to Morning Star School and later St. Martins De Porres junior high school. The latter is a private co-educational learning institution in Dansoman in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.
However, the songstress never completed her secondary education in her home country. Instead, she relocated to Stuttgart, Germany, with her three siblings – a sister and two brothers. Wendy Shay educational background also includes her stay in Germany. In Germany, she continued her education from Grade 7 or JHS1. She completed her learning in the country and went on to train as a nurse. Wendy also attended a music school in the German municipality of Bernhausen.
The award-winning singer studied music for four years. It is from this experience that her passion for singing began. But even before she ventured into music, she liked singing and dancing, both in church and at family events. After spending several years in Germany, Wendy returned to Ghana to pursue a career in music.
She has recently added HND in Business and Marketing Management to her certificates.
Career
Aside from being a musician with a couple of hit songs, she is a nurse by profession but later trained as a midwife until she eventually moved back to Ghana to pursue her music career which has been successful for her.
As part of her passion for music, she attended a music school in Germany to better herself which I can have been of help to her.

When she first touched down in Ghana, she was signed unto Rufftown Records which is owned by Bullet in January 2018 after the untimely death of Ebony Reign.
“Uber driver” her debut single was released on June 1 2018 together with the official music video and was produced by MOG Beatz.
Wendy Shay has performed on several platforms in and outside Ghana which includes RTP awards in 2018, BF Duma Concert, Miss Ghana 2018.
‘Shay on You’, ‘Bedroom Comando’, “Astalavista”, “The Boy Is Mine”” “Heat” “Emergency”” “Break My Waist”” and many others are some notable songs she has recorded.

Wendy Shay won the Discovery of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in 2018. She has also been nominated for other awards over the past years like the 3 Music Awards where she won ‘Breakthrough Artist Of The Year’, New Artiste of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards SA, Best New Artiste of the year Ghana-Naija Showbiz Awards 2018, Eastern Music Awards Video of the year.
