Asamoah Gyan tops list of African Players with Most Goals at World Cup

Ghana’s football legend, Asamoah Gyan aka Baby Jet has topped the list of African players with the most goals at the Fifa World Cup.

The list is made up of 11 African players and their respective goals at the World Cup.

Topping the list is Asamoah Gyan with 6 goals. Taking the second and third positions are Roger Milla from Cameron and Ahmed Musa of Nigeria with 5 and 4 goals respectively.

1.  Asamoah Gyan (Ghana) – 6 goals

2.  Roger Milla (Cameroon) – 5 goals

3.  Ahmed Musa (Nigeria) – 4 goals

4.  Samuel Eto’o (Cameroon) – 3 goals

5.  Papa Bouba Diop (Senegal) – 3 goals

6.  Henri Camara (Senegal) – 2 goals


7.  Patrick Mboma (Senegal) – 2 goals

8.  Didier Drogba (Cote d’Ivoire) – 2 goals

9.  Aruna Dindane (Cote d’Ivoire) – 2 goals

10. Daniel Amokachi (Nigeria) – 2 goals

11. Shaun Bartlett (South Africa) – 2 goals

Asamoah Gyan netted the six goals at three world cup campaigns, which are 2006, 2010 and 2014.
