Phyllis Speer was the co-host of Cooking on the Wild Side. Cooking on the Wild Side is a cookery program produced by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and hosted by Phyllis Speer and John Philpot on the Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN).
Many cookery portions from that series as well as new material were used in the program, which was originally a part of Arkansas Outdoors.

Speer loved to hunt and fish as a child and still enjoys these activities today. She also enjoys knitting, reading, gardening, canoeing, camping, cooking, and playing with her grandsons.
