AMG Business signee, Mawuli Younggod has been arrested by Ghana Police for scamming event organizers of Ghc5,000.00. The musician was said to be booked and paid to perform at an event but he failed to appear at the event.
According to our sources, Younggod was paid to appear on a show organized by Konami Boyz in Mepe on January 1, 2022, but failed to show up after receiving the amount he charged.
The Konami Boyz who were the organizers of the show “Catch The Wave Pool Party” through their source closer to us, revealed that Mawuli charged to take GH₵5,000.00, which they paid him.
According to the organizers, they first made a payment of GH₵4,000.00 to Mawuli Younggod through his agent, Samuel Dzorkpe.
They later sent GH₵1,000.00 directly to Mawuli Younggod making it full payment.
Mawuli Younggod after receiving the said money, failed to show up at the event at Mepe Royal Masito Palace on January 1, 2021.
He also refused to pick the organizers’ call, forcing them to report him to the Aveyime Police.
We were told when the Aveyime Police contacted Mawuli Younggod, he promised the police to report himself on Monday, January 10, 2022, but he didn’t. He was eventually nabbed at a show closer to the town by the organizers and handed over to the police.
