Ghanaian multiple award winning artiste, Livingstone Etsey Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy has added his voice the ongoing debate about Nigerian artistes not pushing Ghanaian music in Nigeria.
Few days ago, Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale at his Freedom Concert held in Accra Sports Stadium insulted Nigerian artistes on stage.
Shatta Wale’s attack has received missed reactions from the two countries – with people siding with Shatta Wale and others saying he was wrong.
Many people were waiting for other Ghanaian artistes to add their voice to the debate.
Well, Stonebwoy has penned down his thoughts on the issue in a long write up.
According to Stonebwoy, Nigerians are doing very well by raising the flag of Africa globally and they need to be applauded for that.
However, Nigerian artistes and Nigerians as a whole must reciprocate the love they receive in Ghana by promoting Ghanaian music in their country.
He again added that his brother, Shatta Wale’s approach may be wrong but his argument is a serious one and deserves critical attention.
He also called on Ghanaians both home and abroad to copy the Nigerian approach of prioritizing an agenda to invest and support Ghanaian talent.
