A 35-year-old Ghanaian teacher, Eric Sasa has allegedly beaten his girlfriend, Yaa Linda 32, to death in Ejumako in the Central Region of Ghana.
According to reports, both Mr Eric Sasa and Yaa Linda were teachers at the Gomoa Ejumako D/A Basic School at the Gomoa West District of Central Region.
Eric and Linda had lived together for over eight years and had four children together before the unfortunate incident happened.
Residents of Ejumako told newsmen that, Linda had told Eric on several occasions to perform her marriage rites but he refused.
As a way of getting Eric to perform the necessary rites, Linda rented an apartment and moved out of Eric’s house with their four children – making it clear to Eric that until he performs her marriage rites, she would not move to his house again.
Eric who was angered by Linda’s decision, visited her on Friday, 11th March, 2020, in her new apartment and beat her mercilessly.
When Eric was beating Linda, the children out of fear started shouting for help for their mother. Eric quickly left the room upon seeing that Linda become unconscious.
Neighbours upon hearing the shouting of the children rushed to the room to see Linda lying lifeless on the floor.
She was rushed to the Apam Government Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The body has since been deposited at the Apam Government Hospital mortuary.
The suspect, Eric Sasa who is currently on the run has been declared wanted by Apam Police. The Police is appealing to the general public for information on the suspect.
