YNW Melly Murder Case

American rapper and singer, Jamell Maurice Demons, professionally known as YNW Melly, was detained and accused of two charges of first-degree murder in February 2019.

The rapper and another rapper, YNW Bortlen, allegedly killed two of their friends and staged the crime scene to resemble a drive-by shooting, according to the police.

YNW Melly’s trial which was set to begin on March 7, 2022, has been postponed more than three times. He has pleaded not guilty to charges leveled against him. If found guilty, he will face the death penalty or Life imprisonment.
